A hilarious, thought-provoking fairy tale

One of my all time favorite plays, Don Nigro retells the story of Cinderella in a hilarious fashion. Rosey, her stepfamily, her imbecile father, the Prince, his Troll, and the raucous fairy Godmother are all here. The end departs from the traditional Cinderella and takes a Nigro-like twist, which makes this play especially memorable. Good monologues and a few excellent scenes between Rosey (Cinderella character) and Zed, the village idiot. Good for humorous interpretation.

Nigro is amazing and probably next to Miller as my fave playwright. He is on with this hilarious story of a dysfuntional fairy tale. He says what other writers don't. He raises doubts, awareness, and I really loved the Troll character! In Christ, kaci

Cinderalla Waltz: A play

When I read this play I cracked up! True it contains hilarious dialogue, but also soul-searching and heart wrenching truth. As Nigro says in his notes, it is more a tale of beauty and her "beast." This play is definitely worth your time.
