Terrific Study Guide -- Best I found!

I am member of the IIBA Phoenix Chapter. We formed a CBAP study group and had been meeting weekly for several months. The BABOK is tedious, at times it seems repetitious and tough to get your mind around it. We tried writing our own questions for each chapter, making up flash cards and even short quizzes. While all these things were useful, we were still not comprehending the material like we knew we needed to.
After searching and reviewing what study guides/helps were available - several of us purchased the pre-publication (beta) edition of this study guide. (I have since reviewed the final version and it is even better!)
What a difference this study guide made! We finally were able to "get it" and understand the BABOK and how it all "fits" together. The study guide is easy to use, leads you through the process of what it takes and how to get there!! It includes some very clever and helpful mnenomics for memorizing all the "stuff". I would highly recommend this to anyone preparing for the CBAP exam.
I know the book is included in the Watermark Learning, Inc. CBAP Preparation course developed by Richard and Elizabeth Larson. They are both great communicators and know their BABOK.
Since I could not spare the time out of the office and there is no training funding this year - this study guide is my lifeline! You will get your money's worth - it will be the best $99.00 you will ever spend in preparation for the CBAP exam!
The members of our study group are now working on their applications and plan on taking the CBAP exam in the next couple of months.
I am confident that we will pass - based on using this study guide and our diligent hours of study and preparation.
(Note: Even with a great study guide, you still need to put in your time and study! A casual read will not do it.)

For BABOK 1.6

Good resource. Unfortunately it is for the test based on BABOK 1.6 but it is still good IF you reconcile some of the differences. My plan is:
1- Read the BABOK 2.0 taking notes on knowledge areas, processes and tools used
2- Read the CBAP Study Guide. When reading it keep in mind the differences.
3- Re-read the BABOK 2.0 in detail going back to the CBAP Study Guide where it applies to review, exercises, mnemonics, etc, but, once again, only where it applies.

CBAP Certification Study Guide

The BABOK (Version 1.60) covers alot of material. This guide focuses on the key themes in each chapter so you are better able to see what is really important and will most likely show up on the exam. It helps you get into the BABOK mindset so you are better prepared to properly analyze the exam questions and zero in on the correct answers. There are alot of useful tips in remembering the various lists of tasks that make up each knoweldge area. This is not a replacement for reading the BABOK but a helpful tool to reinforce what you've learned, practicing with sample exam questions and better preparing you to pass the exam. I did and this definitely gave me the edge I needed.
