Exactly what I needed for a middle school

Anyone who knows anything about musicals knows that the movie Grease is PG - PG-13, while the Broadway version is pretty much an R rating. Having a school version makes it possible to do the show at the middle school where I teach drama.
It retains all of the Grease fun and feeling, while at the same time keeping it appropriate for the 11 - 14 year holds that I work with.
Great adaptation, not watered down in its production or entertainment values.
Also, saved a ton by ordering the books through Amazon instead of Samuel French - don't worry though, they're still getting their ridiculously high rights an royalties for the production.

Tame Enough for the Fussiest People

I teach drama, and this is just what I needed. I have the original version that includes words parents of grade schoolers (and some high schoolers) would object to. This unfortunately watered-down version won't offend anyone. And the new Samuel French format is (slightly) easier to read and has a nice cover. If you can stand to work with a copy of Grease wherein the cast sings "... the chicks will scream for Greased Lightin'", or want to produce Grease in a convent, buy this version!
