First Two Books are 5 Stars; the Third Book, Zero

The first two "Barry Trotter" books are among the funniest parodies I've ever read. The third book however is one of the worst. When deciding whether or not to get this box set, you should base your decision on whether or not it would be cheaper to just buy the first two books individually.
The first two books, "Barry Trotter and the Unauthorized/Shameless Parody," and "Barry Trotter and the Unnecessary Sequel," demonstrate a brilliant balance between "naughty" humor and an innocent cartoon slapstick; between spoofing the "Harry Potter" series, and creating original stories with their own twists and stakes. The characters will make you laugh; the world they live in will make you laugh; the dialogue is funny; the narration is funny.
Sadly, the third book, "Barry Trotter and the Dead Horse," ditches the clever comedy for a mainstream gross-out humor; and instead of continuing to spoof "Harry Potter" and expand his original universe, Gerber chooses to focus on the uninteresting romance between Barry and his highschool sweetheart (an OC as bland as your typical Mary Sue).
If you do buy the box set, "Dead Horse"'s pages can be utilized as toilet paper, as you read the much funnier first two books on the john.
